Blood pudding, blood sausage, chitlins, hog moss, all of that stuff is just gross.
while visiting our neighbors across the pond, i visited a butcher store to rustle up something for supper.
that was the first time i had ever seen blood sausage.
we just never see it over here in the states.. when a witness leaves the organization over there, do they all eat blood sausage once again?

.... but doesn't even care about the "lowly ones" in the congregation.
i think it's part of human nature to be interested in meeting people from other lands.
in our case, it's the international assemblies.
Tell you what, I agree with you to some degree because what you posted does apply to certain superficial JWs I've known through the years. They love to be interviewed about their experiences after having attended an international convention. The show off their pictures and stick their chests out while popping their theocratic suspenders as if attending an international convention is another feather in their cap. It's all show and tell for them. A local needs part that can be used for something constructive to highlight, instead is used as 15 minute infomercial on a couple's or family's experiences in Prague. Meanwhile that same couple hasn't supported Saturday field service at their assigned group in months. They'll only visit a shut in brother or sister for easy time. Thankfully most brothers and sisters aren't this way, but some are.
to be honest i figured until i received some pleasure, enjoyment.
in waking people up on their day off, there was no way i was going.
to pressure anyone else to do the same.
If it weren't a lifesaving work, I'd probably not participate in the door to door ministry either. It's not the most enjoyable thing, that is disturbing our neighbors, but we mean no harm. Besides, if finding one lost sheep means disturbing the same neighborhood repeatedly for years, well then it was worth the effort.
Funny, we have no evidence man evolved from monkies and yet people choose to believe that. We have no evidence that an unexplained explosion set events in motion that would lead to intelligent life, and people believe that too. The irony.
section 3 first!.
how was bible truth rediscovered?.
it goes in to the section and explains that false teachers were foretold to arise after jesus died (and the apostles died according to one conment).
After studying the Jeremiah book for the past year, it is going to be a bit of an adjustment with this brochure.
the new new world translation translates jeremiah 29:10 as follows:.
10 for this is what jehovah says, when 70 years at babylon are ful?lled, i will turn my attention to you, and i will make good my promise by bringing you back to this place.. the official watch tower society teaching is that by the end of the 70 years, the jews were back in judea, and that their actual arrival in judea marks the end of the "70 years".

today, and just today i've decided to go over to the dark side.
be forewarned this is an intenesely negative thread.
maybe i had a bad day.
ctrwtf, I apologize if my presence irritates you. That said, I'll no longer post and hopefully will not contribute to your irritability. I hope your weekend is better than your recent posts indicate how things are currently goin for you. Take care.
Sighhhhhhhh, to be fair, the picture is kinda funny. I am kinda happy seeing people have fun even if if the origin of their fun is based upon an ancient pagan holiday.
i`m an optimist and i would say zilch .
i would bet you a million dollars ( if i had a million dollars ) that if you did a survey in the street that you live , asking the householders what is the life saving message jehovahs witnesses bring to your door on a regular basis , they would not have a clue.. and they have been preaching this message for over 100 years .
how inefective can they be .. the probable answers you would get are : they dont take blood transfusions.
i suppose part of the fascination i have with this board is, the exotic nature of those making up the member population.
i say exotic because, as you yourselves will agree with, folks such as yourselves don't hang around the christian congregation for long upon making the decision that truth is not for you.
(rom 1:25) this "fading" thing spoken of here likely plays a role into why christians such as me find the average ex-jw to be a bit fascinating.
Jgnat, that' next on my agenda. You'll know when I post it. I noticed a post of yours done fairly recent where you labled me as Stand for Pure(something). I caught that, and haven't forgot. Maybe I'll send you my findings in a PM.
